Our town died out. Don't remember why. Only boys left.
One of them offered to stay and teach me forging
He made me do everything, and died right after I hit the ingot one time too many to make what we needed.
But I made the thing after he died. It probably was a hoe.
(Not that we needed anything at that point...)
Afterwards I practiced forging in the tutorial area.
Loved that guy

I was born in a town that didn't have any sheep. I wanted to start making compost so I told everyone I will make a sheep pen. My mom was pretty proud of me for being an ambitious 4 year old. I went for clay to make adobe. As I was lining up more and more adobe a kid joined me and without talking much, brought more adobe. A tree was blocking the way but we had an axe, so I cut it. I couldn't get rid of the stump, so I said to the kid "We need a shovel", he said "Then go make it", I didn't like his tone so I said "Hey YOU go make it". He said fine, but I felt bad so I ran to the forge and demanded one. A young girl responded with "!!!!!" and I took that as a yes. More and more kiddos where helping with the pen, it felt great. When I went back to the forge, still no shovel ! I screamed "Maaa shovel" and an old lady snapped at me "Don't shout at the smith!". I apologized and a kind smith made me one immediately.
With the stump cleared, the adobe bases set up and a fresh bowl of berries and carrots, I thought the pen was ready. I said to the kid who was helping me "I'm gonna make you a bow and you're gonna go find us a sheep". He said fine, but a woman showed us where to find a bow and arrow already made. Maybe by her, seeing that we were working on a pen! I was going to give it to him but then I thought : hm, this guy is naked. I had a backpack, a jacket and a home marker. I was better suited for the role even if I was getting old.
So I ran and found a moufflon, I killed him, left my bow and arrow and took back his lamb. I put it in my pen, fed him, so proud of myself... then he ran away. Remember when I said I "thought" the pen was ready ? Well even if I saw adobe pen usually have berry bushes at the corners, I didn't make some, because I'm stupid and thought sheep could only go up and down. I got back with the bow and arrow to see that kids were helping and made the berry bushes. I think in the end, it worked out and I was happy. I didn't know for sure because I lagged pretty bad and my game crashed.
So I looked up the family tree, maybe I'll get some clues about how my sheep pen was working out.
Only found one :
Well feck you then ! My own daughter !

Sharing this old story of mine from this post because it fits this thread so well :
In one of my life's, I was Sadey, an humble farmer. While I was farming I noticed an abandoned boy by the fire. He said "F", and only I could hear him. So I rushed to him to feed him a carrot. He thanked me. I asked if his mom was dead, he said "No". I continued my farming, always checking on him but sure enough, his mom came back.
I said I had saved the kid but she had something else on her mind ! "No soil ! We are gonna die !". Suddently I remembered her, that kid that panicked about the soil all the damn time, haha. I said "It's gonna be ok. Don't be too dramatic !". I made her and my nephew laugh. He was in good hands, so I want back to farming. Soon enough a kid came too talk with me : "Uncle. You saved me". "I did !" I responded "Make me proud !". Later he came back with a pie fresh out of the oven : "For you uncle. Taste it". My heart melted. I tasted the pie and said it was delicious. He seemed so glad I liked it. He didn't have a name so I kept calling him kiddo.
But, my time was running out. I warned my dear nephew "I'm gonna die". He said "Don't be too dramatic" and then winked at me. He made me laugh. What a good kiddo. I continued the farming but soon it was too dangerous to continue. Before I died I saw that soil was being brought to the camp, it warmed my heart to know that I had been right.
My nephew sang to me before I died. It was so peaceful.
It was hard finding him in the family tree, since he was not my kid and nameless. But when I did, I nearly shed a tear.
