Am I the only one that think names are too restricted ?

Probably because the game has been made by an american, but every time I give my child a name, last one or two letters change at the end.

I cannot name my child with common name in my language or give them funny word play but I can name my baby Shannon, Nixon or Nigeria.

I know it is supposed to prevent troll name, but this is hell more funny when you can name as you want.

I partially agree. It would be awesome if the system disallowed single-character names or vulgar names, and allow everything else.

At least there is a naming system now though, so I'm happy with what we have right now~
The fact we can pinpoint the name of a murderer is an improvement.

Not sure if this is already happening, but if the server tracks the "failed" names in some fashion, Jason could just add them en masse to the whitelist each time he updates the game. Depending on how long that list is, I guess... but reading through a list of a hundred names and deleting a few "dykbutt"s etc before merging them with the main whitelist might not be too painful. So if "Jarkko" or "Kyung-Ae" aren't on the list, you can still try to use them, and then they may become permissible in a later update...

32,869 first name options and 86,990 last name options are pretty good for starting out, I'd say. Sure I'd love to be able to make up my own name or get more creative with them (in a tasteful way), but I am super excited that we have names now! I'm sure it will be tweaked at some point to allow more.

I always feel sad when the name fucks up, like the kids weren't mine, so I give them to somebody else or drop them somewhere.

List has many cow and daddy names rather than human ones. So unoriginal for most of the names.

Funny names are unoriginal and original at the same time. When somebody introduces himself this is more a joke which makes it funmy.

Why trump dinasty people were so into their family ? Maybe because this was really fun to have some stupid roleplay.

I tried to name my sun after me his name was vigoroto not vigoroso i was slightly annoyed but it did sound better

Something I like about the whitelist is that it takes some of the pressure off to give someone a "proper" name. If you can't think of anything, you can just type in "asdkfjasldf" and the whitelist will turn that into something pronounceable and "real". Certainly nicer for the person who has to live with that name.
