Weird ruins

Thanks to @pein and @wondible, I learnt how to locate myself in OHOL World.
Today, I was  born in Stark Town, had some children and when I was forty, I decided to test my new cartographer skills.

Stark Town:

I opened wondible map and found four nearby towns/villages.

I decided to visit them, see if anyone is alive and check their ruins, but what I found was a little bit weird.

First, I visited Radish Town, but just found a sheep pen in the middle of a swamp, everything (apart of clay) was untouched. Milkweeds everywhere, habbits inside holes, no chopped trees and a lot of wild food around the pen.

It was very weird, reminded me yesterday when I found a lot of big ancient stone buildings in the middle of nowhere, with trees and wild food inside, everything untouched, but a lot of  stone buildings (without floors).

I decided to head to Whisler Town and when I arrived there, it was even more weird, I just found a road in an untouched area, I checked around, but only found a road and there was a tree in the same tile as the road, I didnt even know it was possible.

Next town, same thing, a road in the middle of nowhere, I couldn't check what family lived there.

And lastly, when I was almost dying of old age, I went to Bear Town. Can you guess what I found? Yes, another road. And this time, tree, sappling and milkweed grew on it.

I know the family names, because I checked http://publicdata.onehouronelife.com/pu … uesday.txt and http://publicdata.onehouronelife.com/pu … _names.txt and saw who was born/died nearby those coordinates, and they lived there less than 30h ago.

When I started playing, towns only got wiped when they were unseen for more than a month (If I am not mistaken), but now it seems they're getting wiped in a day, partially wiped to be honest.

Anyone knows how it works now? And what are those roads (and sometimes buildings, as the ancient stone buildings and the sheep pen)?

Re: Weird ruins

Jason recently added a new feature:
If noone sees an area for 8 hours it resets, except for roads and stone walls
i also made a topic about it: https://onehouronelife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=6816

Re: Weird ruins

It´s called reclamation. But the pen shoud also be gone, thats interesting.

- I believe the term "Berrymuncher" is derogatory and therefore I shall use the term "Berrier" instead.

Re: Weird ruins

I thought I saw some long distance travelers. Despite your wanderings, we seem to have had eve spiral reset just before the log shipping time.

Re: Weird ruins

he just edited on it

also you gotta knwo where you are and yesterday were 1-2 places to do that
well if you know that rainbows were in bell town, that's 3
the bell is -47k-47k so easy to find

i mean i could map the villages out in a few mins when stdout had coords in it
with life log data you got a minimum of 10 hours delay to know some coords so you basically already after decay if the families arent alive

Re: Weird ruins

Mistress Zues, to translate

The mini map is not part of the game client. It is a cut and paste from https://onemap.wondible.com

There are ways to extrapolate your approximate position in the game, but it is complicated and requires using data that can be up to 24 hours old.
