Not really old player as in OG. I started playing in August. I still play, probably not as much as some, but with work and adulting I play a fair amount. I still find enjoyment from the game also!

I'm playing since April 2018. I was following the forums right away, but started posting just a few months ago. Not playing much these days though, I had some rough time recently IRL and didn't have time. When I do have time, though, I also try out new games as well, so I only play OHOL from time to time.

I still play. During periods when I haven't played on the bigserver, I've done low pop servers.

I've never been a very heavy player. Only play occasionally. I still enjoy it.

I am an old player but I mostly stopped playing. I come back fairly often to check out the forums though and then play every once in a while. The game is the sort where it is kind of difficult to constantly keep playing every day or weekly over a long period but it is more ideal to play every once in a while when the mood strikes you.

I have been here since a week after steam release. I play at least a life or two everyday. I have never HEAVILY played this game, and mainly play for an hour at a time.

That probably explains why I have never really gotten burnt out on this game too. I like this balance I've got goin.

I usually play maybe at least once a month to try out some of pein's and Tarr's designs they posts. I remember the old days of Jordium antics and Aurora being Aurora.

I still play the game. I'm playing since end March 2018 after watching Twisted video's on OHOL. So I guess you can say I'm an old player.

I played the game at the beginning then I took a huge break (maybe a year?) I don't remember why, I think we reached the endgame to easily back then, so not much to do. I started playing again a month or two ago and I'll play 2-4 lives a day, everyday.

Hmm I'm 50 so I think that counts too. Anyhow, plant in clay-rich soil I've found you get best carrots ! They're tiny, but not like store-bought carrots that are just made tiny and have no taste, self-made small ones in clay soil have very rich flavor !

Thanks for the tips. I have a small piece of land in the woods, I was thinking of starting a garden there. I'm not certain what the soil content is like, I know there is sand about 2 meters down, but most of the land around it is very swampy; lots of cattails. Pretty sure the clay content of the soil near the swamps is fairly high.

Been following it since Feb 2018, got it August 2018, whilst studying in South Africa I got to see Twisted videos. He was the only good one who didn't do casual interpretation mistakes like taking the fire drill and try to use it as a bow.

My first update was the addition of roads.

I started playing exactly a year ago, when carrot production would crash and starve a whole village. Then berries became OP, lol.

I play when I have a lot of free time, but I enjoy coming back. Last time I left was because I found the compost cycle grind necessary, yet nobody was doing it, so it became slave work and was unenjoyable. But I come back once in a while and always find the meta changing, which is really refreshing.

I started playing in late May 2018 I believe. I remember playing two lives before taking a break from the game for a week or so to “study” up on how to play. I was very overwhelmed at the time, I can only imagine how new players feel now. I was heavily invested in the game after that for a while but around the car update I took a break for a few months. I have recently gotten back into playing on low pop servers.

I'm sorry to hear that. I was having a very rough time when I started playing and it has continued until just recently. If you ever need to talk to anyone (though this sounds cheesy) I will do my best to give advice.
Also good luck to Morti, who I know has been also having a rough time with his/her health. Thanks for the carrot, it was delightful

I started playing in April, I think, 2018. The game was very different and now that I think of it I didn't realize how all the updates were accumulating. I think we (most of us) can agree it's better now.

now I play less because I have less time,
I have had seasons where I played more and others less ... but I have not stopped playing
I like it, it's a fun and original game

but I think it is necessary to solve many problems and improve the engine to have new mechanics

If OHOL solves these barriers, I think it can be very big !!

I forget when I started, maybe a month or two before this forum account made, idk. I remember back when waterskins were the norm and people still learning that you can right click to switch stuff lmao it got so much easier after I found that out. also remember when soil was finite, before desert, before lots of things actually, when the game was hard.
