Arming your population doesn't work.

Last time I was in a civ, we had bows, knives, arrows, just lying about. I felt safe, at first.

Then one knife went missing. Then both. Then the bows and arrows.

Then everyone died.

The murderer was given an arsenal.

NEVER leave knives lying around. Only give them to people you know are not griefers (adults doing jobs, helping out), once you're at an old age. Leaving weapons lying around gives any psychopath free reign to steal it all (wasting time and resources) and then kill everyone, generation after generation, because they hid the weapons in a spot only they know. LOL

Thats why i Always give a knife to hardworking people and myself.

never leave them on the ground thats just plain dumb.

I think you did not get the idea of having the people armed. Being armed does not mean having a knife lying somewhere on the ground. It means, having it with you, simple as that. No doubt eventually you got doomed easily. Why? Because you got disarmed. That's not the only reason but I believe the major factor.

I totally disagree with your suggestion. Adding artificial possession to this game would just ruin its very core idea.

From my perspective, that is not what he meant, he says not to leave them lying around in his post, don't arm the entire population, as in have weapons ready for anyone that needs them. Just give them to the trustworthy citizens.

yea because if there lying on the ground and the griefer has a backpack he can store like 4 knifes in his backpack. noone can defend themself anymore. thats why you give those knives too people who are trustworthy. like hardworking people.

and the griefer can hide the knives that are on the ground.
