For the time being, I think we have enough content.

My goal is to iron out all the large-scale problems with the game (and fix all the known bugs) before adding any new content.

I spent many months heaping content on top of the game, and it didn't really make the game better.  It didn't seem like this was a viable way forward.  I could have kept doing that up to 10,000 objects, and then we'd have a bad game with tons of content.

We already have tons of content.  I want to make an amazing game first.

something just doesn't click yet
like i hated being locked in the rift
i liked getting back to project
then hated seeing it got destroyed

but without rift it was just lost if the family died out
and i couldn't back to the place, and there ist much to do when you got food, big city, resources

i think we need some big scale stuff that keeps you going forward, and gives you some sort of purpose
some sort of quest system or some ultimate resource hoarding purpose

i would be happy with some fixed old content too
like porks, rails or dogs reworked a bit or beef burgers or horse domestication

maybe some group level interactions, some enforced teamwork?

Yeah it's way too easy and fast to climb the techtree, you can got to diesel engine from new start in a couple of hours then you dont have much to do.

The rift partly fixes that because there is a long term challenge but it's still way to easy to make stuff, so you end up with high quality clothes everywhere on the floor and nothing is really valuable.

Imo it should be way more challenging to climb the techtree and crafted objects would be more rare and have a lot more value.

But currently everyone can do everything so eventually even stuff high in the techtree end up cluttering the map.

Climbing the techtree doesn't really require teamwork if you can do everything by yourself.

It just means it requires more time if there is less people, but you dont need others.

Also if you can make everything yourself you dont need other people which makes trading pointless, if you want a cart for example you can just make it yourself you're not going to trade with someone for a cart.

Long term goal could be simply to survive, thrive and grow civilisations but right now it's not really a challenge to do it.

Crafted ressources would be more valuable and climbing the techtree could be more about cooperation with other players rather than a race against starvation if some changes where made.

It should take at least 2-3 days to reach end game with diesel mining and cars, big civilisations etc.

Oof.
The guy's been making content till he ended up with over 150 unsolved game issues. Now that he's finally decided on fixing them... we need content.

Really sad that he refuses to get help with this kind of stuff. Must be hard to try to keep everyone happy on your own.
