Why can't I take screenshots

When I try to take a screenshot of this game it just captures my desktop as if I don't have the game open.
I love taking screenshots in games and it makes me really sad I can't do that on here.
I've taken a few pictures on my phone of my computer screen because it's the only way I can think of to capture what's on my screen. They look terrible though

Is there anything I can do to fix or bypass this?

You using Steam? If you are then there’s a separate screenshot hotkey for that.

Press = ingame to take a screenshot worked too last time I checked

you can use external tools such as snagit

the ingame tool has better resolution at all sizes but if you just want to grab a part of screen than the quality is better than enough
also you can add an uploader to a 2 click imgur upload
