I've tried the mod out and found an issue with the notifications:

I never saw the notification for the apocalypse and I'm sure I'm missed some other notifications as well. I guess the search functionality overrides it?

Can you check "hideUI.ini" in your settings folder? If its value was "1", the panels in the game will be hidden.
Then change it to "0", and relaunch the client.

Why does the player go off center in this mod? It's really bothersome to me because it seems to happen at random and I have no control of it. I'd prefer to keep the view centered on the character like it works with hetuw.

Wow! I'm really attached to the coordinate system in hetuw and the nearby player counts, but.... being able to search for any form of sterile pad!? Yeah... I'll be checking this out when I play tomorrow.

what about the short keys and the chat feature? will wasd trigger both or ignore words starting with wasd? Option to disable it? i got text expander for my naming so it can be an issue

I didn't reply afterwards but I tried the hideui thing and this happened:

could you add these?

SPACE
similar to left click, can be used to pick up items from the tile you are standing on

CTRL+SPACE
similar to right click on the tile you are standing on

Can I also change the keys to these to make them like hetuw
Q Eat or put on what you're holding.
C Take out an item in your backpack, apron or trousers. Press C again to swap it with another one.
V Drop am item you're holding into your backpack, apron or trousers.

E
press E to eat what you are holding in hand
Q
press Q to put something in your backpack or take something out

if you could add some toggle to enable/disable shortcuts as i got quite a few i want to use and it messes me up if it does something instead of type something

work mode: disable chat features and trigger shortcuts
chat mode: disable shortcuts and enable chat features
maybe mixed like now
or just allow to disable shortcuts completely (of the mod, not all programs interacting with ohol)

I use the DVORAK keyboard layout. I use your mod for zoom via the scroll wheel (once I figured out that besides shift + arrow key did it), item search, and improved home arrow. I disable everything else. But occasionally I will hit a button that really throws me off. For instance, going into UI zooming mode which changes the scroll wheel.

If besides customization to keybinds, if you could translate the default binds to the keyboard layout, that'd be great. Some games have a problem with this, some don't. For instance, some games map the WASD movement to ,AOE (the same keys physically) without my intervention. Idk how they do it but maybe that's something you can use too?

I'm having an issue with this mod where if I go to settings and then extra settings and change any of the settings in there, the settings never save. It's really frustrating cause I can't remove the player nametags and highlighted dangerous spots. And I can't find the files that store the data for those settings anywhere, they don't seem to exist. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to solve it?

Hmm.... All of them they are working fine when I tested on my Mac.
Name tags are disabled by default. So if settings were not saved, you’ll never see the name tags.

Please make sure that your settings folder isn’t read-only. Then retry to change settings.

If it still didn’t work, please edit files in your settings folder and relaunch the mod. ( 0: disable, 1:enable )

showDeadlyHighlights.ini( highlights )

in meantime hetuw added the feature
only it might be needed to add hide animals too

on my side, diagonal movement is ruining it but i made a nice photo

btw pls read my previous post, small issue but chat and hotkeys trigger same time, would be nice to have a selection between with a hotkey
i like the awbz chat feature that i don't need to press enter just type, but then add a hotkey to activate/deactivate other hotkeys

I agree, please edit first post and change title to Milkweed's mod.

Please also add a little tutorial how to install it and how to find game folder in your first post.

Whenever I teach new players I tell them to get zoom mod, yet I tell them about awbz mod because i think they wouldn't find your mod because of the title.
