Useful Villager Flow Chart

4YNpLqn.png

Here's what I tend to do in most villages ^

I assume someone else is handling newcomb pumps, buildings, pads, iron runs, carts and stew.
If there's a charcoal-powered well, I'll add "make charcoal" and "fill cisterns" as another task.
If there's too many geese in the sheep pen, I'll also behead and skin them.

XD water low-->grow milkweed-->tend sheep-->crow carrots--->grow wheat.

How is this gonna solve anything... The rope kinda helps as you can make buckets and carts to haul the water from elsewhere. Also you need few pieces of rope in the higher tier water wells.

If you dont know how to build the higher tech wells then what you should do is pick a shovel and go open a well in East/West/North/South of town(wells are in grid so just go to your empty well and walk in desired direction). Start to make a road towards it so people actually find it.

Gather round stones, make cistern and buckets. Go raid the nearest opened well or some ponds.

Also highly suggest on getting to know the higher water tech as not having water is the most common reason for towns to die out.
When water gets low the cycle of doom is really fast and towns wither in a lifetime of neglect to a point where you feel its not worth fixing.

Most people have this same mind set "someone else will do it". It creates enourmous burden for people who actually know how to do it. As you always have to be on the water hussle or you town starwes out. Instead of focusing to higher tech things like diesel pump and oil you find yourself opening new wells and hauling water for berry munchers.

Dibs for the soil cycle tho.

Water is life.
