How to find a Camp?

Hi
I build so many Camps, as an Eve or the baby of an Eve, but im getting tired doing always the same. I want to learn the other things, like building a house or smth like that.
But how can i find a Camp, that already exists? Is there a trick?
Ofc, I can run and run and run...but I never found one, this way. Or I can reborn so many times that Im spawning in such a small village, but that is all taking so much time, so is there a shorter way? hope you can help me, teaching the "upper" skills, im done with basic

try it with one of the private servers

Norgg has a big town where everything is there, you can learn whatever you wish

Sadly unless someones still living there there is almost no chance you will ever stumble upon a camp. the new spawning system spawns you far away from discovered places to keep things "fresh". your best bet is to respawn repetitively until you find someone else's home that is already fairly developed

Only once have I stumbled across any signs of other people when I have recently spawned as a new eve. It feels kind of lonely, tbh. Thats why a new Eve's job is to setup all of the basics and pass it to her daughter(s). Live to 60, and then respawn in the same camp to keep building and learning as you go.

How can i join a private server? I dont know how this is working, im just clicking on game icon and "login"

most of the time, my children are noobs and dying in the early ages... Im telling them to get food, so they are close to it...nvm

Aye it is rough. It hurts a lil when you barely manage to get it all together before you are too
old. Today I lived till 60 and had duel forges oven bellows and a ~15 berry bush farm RIGHT
next to a 5 pack of ponds with a few more a few screens away.

I didn't have time to make myself any clothes etc, just trying to set something up. I tried the
live to 60 thing so many I could eve myself back there and set up a good town, the spot was
pretty damn nice. Alas I spawned into a carrot farm tribe, who know not the way of the
'BERI'.... heretical soil wasters..

Edit two files in the settings folder of your game:

settings/customServerAddress.ini to contain: the name of the private server
settings/useCustomServer.ini to contain: 1

in the thread there is a description, you have to make two small edits to two files & then you click login as usual

im always hoping, that i found such a farm or any of my farms, that i built, but i dont have luck

eves can spawn close to each other but thats a problem most cases, not a help, jason told that we will spawn 7000 steps from a town, so you need to run half your life having a kid which is kinda impossible, and if you settle you dont even want to do that, i kinda think smaller cities should be repopulated

somethimes when is chaotic a family can scatter to neighbouring biomes and eves can appear close by, look for signs of life like many branches, rabbits killed, items left on map, empty berry bushes, should show a pattern

Well, I can confirm that a city I played in yesterday was repopulated with a new family today.

So it is possible to stumble back into a old city as a wild eve, even if it is hard.

It is possible. Over 8 hours and 20 generations (going for beating the generation record of 32) we managed to met up as Eves... once. Never found our main camp or any other camp though.

Its VERY unlikely though. Not with 40 players cap per server. Remember that stuff not seen for over 24 hours will get deleted by server by next restart (fe. update, hotfix, crash, etc).

Also - camps "repopulated" by new famili might be oly ilusion. Remember that if you forget to name your kid the lineage is lost. If this kid has grandkids - it does not go back.

They haven't been turned off - you just constantly respawn far as an eve (2000 titles minimum) - prior to the change you would at most spawn 500 tiles away
