Born in a post Eve deep well type village, there is plenty of food around and finding it is not an issue so you dont depend on anyone for your survival, you dont care about the genetic score (because why would you?).
The town is thriving, lots of people around, they are all either busy farming/smithing/ohol job or talking nonsense about "FOLLOW ME" or "I'M SELLING DEAD BABY BONES".
Why would you not kill everyone?
Answers like "Because i'm not a psychopath" dont count, remember in this scenario you are a griefer.

Pride? Killing off an unstable town with fewer weapons to fight back with takes very little skill, whereas either helping that town thrive or killing off said griefer before they can do any damage is much harder and more rewarding. Why people want to grief a game about looking after your family is beyond me though.

Eve Whiskey, i.e. "Whisler".
Add zoom and hotkeys to the base game (see Hetuw mod) to improve the popularity of the game.

You are a shameless griefer so any matter of pride, guilt or any higher reasoning is out of the question here, try again.

Then it’s pointless, because other deep well towns are going to develop all the while you’re leading in bears, taking advantage of the fairly recent influx of new and helpless players and avoiding people who have caught onto what you’re doing. What’s the reward, an “I’m a noob killer!” badge?

What motivates you to grief? Knowing what you do has an actual effect? Unfortunately there’s no town identity, so as long as a town pops up somewhere and survives then you as a griefer have failed. On the other hand, what would motivate you to not grief would be simply being a normal person, but since that’s not a valid answer, I stand by those two points above.

You simply enjoy griefing, doesn't matter if it has an effect on towns, the game, the players or wathever, what motivates you to grief is not the question.
The question is you just got born, after 4 years you dont depend on anyone for your survival and there is plenty of food around so you are not going to die and any form of interaction besides killing feels uninteresting/RP.
Why would you not grief this life?

Because your mother was the only person in the village when you got born, and she died before you could pick up a weapon. Thus, you wouldn't kill everyone other than yourself, because there are no others than yourself to kill when you can do so.

If you become so bored that your only option is to grief, then I suppose you wouldn’t because you’ve quit and found a more enjoyable game. What motivates you to not grief is that building up a town is far more rewarding. What also might motivate you not to grief is being sent to dt because you get mass cursed by openly griefing.

How do you know that the town is like that? You don't get to tell me that such was in your head when you wrote it, you only get to refer to the information that the original post had or suggested. Why? Because referring to the original post only in such a way makes for a check against dishonesty.
There's no information suggesting that the town has lots of people in the scenario you proposed. I don't see any edit of the post either.
If you want this to make for a serious puzzle that gets solved, then you need to state the initial conditions up front. You haven't done that at this point in time.

The town is already "built", building more would be purely aesthethic and would go in the RP category, dt doesn't demotivate you from griefing and the genetic score doesn't motivate you from not griefing, you dont depend on others for survival and killing is the only interaction that is somewhat interesting (true emotionnal response) since it impacts their survival, the time they invested in this life plus what they could be doing if you dont kill them.
Giving someone a pie for example and telling them : "HERE I GOT THIS PIE FOR YOU" when there is plenty of food around feels ridiculous and purely like you are playing a charachter instead of living the charachter you are actually playing.

You said it was in the deep well stage. So there isn't sufficient grounds to assume that building more would be purely aesthetic, since making a newcomen atmospheric core, a cistern or a few cisterns, emptying out the deep well if necessary, and then making a charcoal pump, or diesel water pump later is more building.
Giving someone a pie for example and telling them : "HERE I GOT THIS PIE FOR YOU" when there is plenty of food around feels ridiculous and purely like you are playing a charachter instead of living the charachter you are actually playing.
Speak for yourself. The character you are playing is in a future world with people trying to rebuild civilization from scratch where they want their lineage to keep going as long as they can. Living that character means that you care for others in your family. Giving someone a pie is a form of caring, and such caring is needed for lineage survival. You may feel that such is ridiculous IF you've actually done such in a game, but I suspect it would be because you're role-playing, instead of playing the character that you have gotten expected to play.

Yes, because taking the next steps towards a newcomen pump before your town dies out from famine is RP.

I don’t know if you’ve ever taught people before, but if you have you can’t tell me it’s not a genuine emotional response when they appreciate you for it and they go on to be more useful than most of the other people who know how to play but can’t be fucked. That’s investing time into what they could be doing and it pays off.

No you’re right, but jum foods are always appreciated by people who do it properly. One thing I will give the specialisation update is that bananas are very appreciated.

Either play the game or dont but stop arguing semantics!
Also no giving a pie to someone when there's 300 berry bushes around 10 pots of stew and various random foods is not going to increase their chances of survival, maybe i should have given a better example:
You give someone a pie and tell them "HERE I GOT THIS PIE FOR YOU" but right next to them there is 4 slot boxes filled with pies free to take and now you feel like an idiot.

Alright, now having gotten edited, whatever value this post has, it won't get at the heart of how to deal with griefing.
I once had one daughter, that's it, as an Eve before the temperature overhaul, who I saw looking like she was going to make a bow and arrow, who killed me thereafter.
Also, I kept a child once on s1 in a new town that I wanted to build and get help building. I ended up getting shot by my own child.
But, in both situations, there did not exist many people around.
So, to second sigmen's question, what is this thread even about?

Those 4 slots boxes perhaps contained one type of pie for all I know, let's say mutton pie. Perhaps I gave them a carrot pie so that they could get a little more yum. I don't see why I would feel like an idiot necessarily.

So what’s your epic solution to stopping early town griefers? It’s genuinely only up to them to realise that Fortnite is more up their alley. Most of them actually get swatted anyway because they’re often pretty stupid.

Yes teaching is great but you forget a main point it relies on a constant flux of new players also it's sort of a meta thing since you're teaching the actual player and not the charachter he's playing in the game but wathever.
If you cant answer the riddle that's fine but pls stop arguing the logical aspect of it thanks.
You are a griefer
You just got born
Your intent is to grief, unless
Unless...what?
Plenty of food around you? Check
No other threat for your survival? Check

So, not all griefers are the same. It's not always the same conditions that will prevent them from griefing. You pose a riddle like it has a unique solution, but many solutions might be possible.
Additionally, I don't see a reason to suppose that an 'unless' exists. A griefer might be dead set on griefing and there's no way to persuade them out of griefing.
