Meeting the Jason
Is their any rhyme or reason as to when Jason visits towns. I only know he has visited if I see the hat in-game.
How do visits usually play out and how do people react?

It was a thing he added in the Halloween update along with other stuff.
For the time being, I think we have enough content.

Just to say hi really.
Everyone typically crowds around him in the town and scares him to the outskirts. When i met him ingame he forgot to give himself the language specialty, so he couldn't communicate with anyone. There were already a few people exclaiming " oh god it's jason, get him!" I still gave him my bag with a knife and he gave me a smile and ran back into town holding an upside down knife. Less than a min later someone ended up killing him. Right after he died there was the wrath of the creator in the form of about 10 bears. The town lost a family and was in chaos for a generation or two.
You can also search his name on the family tree and see when he lived his last life.

In my experience he only ever plays to test out bugs. When he does spawn in your town he usually just eats berries and carrots and just stands around a lot.

What happened in the "need content" one and does Jason always spawn bears after being killed.
Couldn't he make himself unkillable if he needee

I dont think he always spawns them.

Jason is known for turning random stuff into bears. I've never actually seen Jason in game, but multiple people in discord said stuff has randomly turned into bears in front of them
