I ask myself this question all the time. Personally I think he raises some good points sometimes.

Instead of trying to refute his points many just lower themselves to ad hominem attacks.

The people doing so are much more annoying than Spoonwood in my opinion.

The game at least had forceed reproduction on players without them having a way to opt out of reproducing. There is still no fatherhood in the game.

The game is claimed as art by its designer. Your characterization of the characters as 'just pixels' doesn't work, because of that claim, since that claim implies that they have a meaningful representation aspect and the game embodies values. The game has had and still has bad values.
