What is this?
It was not meant to be art.
Whatever I was working on at the time, I was not thinking about horses, or making something to show to anyone else.
I think I was trying to make a sine wave, with MS Paint's curve tool, after watching a 3Brown1Blue video. (or is it 3Blue1Brown?)
I had a great idea. To investigate a way to visualize Fourier Transforms, but, then it hit me.
This picture, of my attempt to create a sin wave, that I could copy and paste to repeat, and then stretch and compress, to show frequency doubling, made me think of the cave pictures of Southern France, made, 30,000 years ago.
Shown here, in Werner Herzog's Cave of Forgotten Dreams https://youtu.be/ThsMCZ3B8eE?t=244
None of that was on my mind at the time. Not art, not history, just math, just, the future.
Yet I was pulled back, by the past. And in that past, this game and this forum and the people, and the game, gave me the desire to share this image with you.
I know this is an unusual thing, for a person to do here on this forum.
Which is perhaps, why I thought it would be a good idea to do so.
It's a very simple image. But what making it, what it made me think, what it may make you think, and what this game and this community are; everything, is all free to consider, to interpret, to help you forget, other things. Thoughts are a very unintuitive process. Having them is easy, but, what chemistry, what physics, what, biology, is at play when our mind is pulled around, like a child in a super market; that too is simple.
Enjoy complexity while it lasts.
Make it, wherever you want it.
In time, everything will be sorted,
simple and straightforward.

Is that the Mona Lisa?
Offline
The Mona Lisa doesn't have nearly that much cleavage.
Also, PFFT, I was blown away by this image. Took 30 seconds to load on this ole PC, and when the image did load, and I clicked on it, it zoomed right into her right eye.
Scary AF.
Here's the link to that image: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ … ouched.jpg
Such gorgeous detail. Good man, Leo.

The cleavage is implied, Morti. Like her smile.

Wait ... four horses. Four horsemen?
Is this a subtle reference to the Apocalypse? Perhaps those wiggly horses are riding for a grave purpose.

CF: "these 4 curves"
The real beauty was the way it came to me when I wasn't looking for it, the way it pulled me away from the Math.
ant: "something wrong with your math"
I wish all my Math was wrong.
