Pig pen idea - free piglets

I made this pig pen, maybe it's not the prettiest one, but it works very nice.
Pick a piglet and put it in main pig pen, then feed it. Finished this pen at about 25 years old, nobody got hurt this life and people didn't seem to be worried about boars.

It's not 100% safe, better don't missclick when you are in there

Thank God there is another one pleyer who thinks we need this. Did people killed your boars ? They killed mine twice.

This design is 100% safe , no noob will be killed and needs no maintenance (replace property fence with proper fence let only the property gates to prevent noobs to enter. )

top one looks safer short term, long term i guess gates and real fences are better, they not biome locked and they even follow so i guess you need fence gates to stop them or stone. the blocking elements help with the gathering of piglets, the safest is bushes or rails. Rails can also store something.

Yeah, real fences would work better since they don't decay, but it was my first test try so I didn't want to waste time for something that wouldn't necessarily work. I wanted to see how people react to this and seems it works very good, next time I'll make real fences.

Good idea with rails, Pein. Could make a track cart there instead of tilled rows and store alive piglets there, it would give more clear message to people what are the boars there for. I'm not sure, but I think alive piglets don't die when stored, if it's really the case, pigs breeding would be even easier than from before the update, and also pigs give 5 meats now and not 4

Tho, real fences can be easily removed. A griefer could easily release boars. Maybe property fences are better...

For the boar pen, property fence is probably best, surrounded by regular fence, if you want to be extra careful.

The property fence requires more maintenance and the regular fence acts as a fail-safe. But there is a certain level of danger with any boar/wolf farm near towns.

The best idea would be to make the setup far enough outside of town that few people will mess with it and die on the boars by accident

if you do it far enouph then it wont used by people.
I would make it above Corn farm next to a butcher space/Taco factory.

PS: There is no reason to keep Pigs alive, transfer them near the taco factory, and kill them right away. leave the corpses there so they function as meat storage. remove bones when empty.

if they dont die when stored you could just put an L shape rail starting in the pen and another to stack it to, a gate in between
