Had 8 great grandchilds with no name and all starving to death with 0,6 years...
Was it all the same player starving to death and then coming back as soon as possible to the same mother?

grandkids never should lower the own score not to speak about great grandkids....
and a player starving to death should never be born to the same mother again....

The final word being L for three of the babies makes me think that some of them must have been the same player. I agree that you should not be sent back to the same mother if you die as a baby, whether you use /die or starve to death or get dropped on a bear. A mother who isn't able to keep her babies alive probably does not need more babies and definitely shouldn't be getting the same baby over and over. And a baby that intentionally kills itself to escape a certain birth condition isn't going to want to return to the same mother and will try to die again. By forcing them together again, it creates nothing but problems.
However, the current birthing mechanic doesn't care about that. Jason intentionally designed it so you can't escape your fate. The game decides which mother needs babies the most and as long as that condition has not changed, you will keep getting forced back to the same mother. I pointed out that this would cause problems, but he was more interested in punishing die babies and preventing extra Eve spawns than providing better quality of life for his player base, both infant and mother.
Changing the birthing mechanic to prevent dead-baby rebirth would also help solve the problem of women getting completely buried in babies during post-update baby explosions. Once a particular mother had tried (and failed) to keep a player alive, he would be directed to the next available mother or spawn as an Eve to help spread out the player population.

Yeah we were born to her twice and she ran from us immediately then killed herself. She never picked any of us up, we ran to town whisling but we were just too far away. We waited a few mins before trying again.
Nothing we could've done.
It's kinda funny but we actually mentioned you when we got born to her for the second time. We felt bad for you LOL. Not for the mom though, it's frustrating as hell to lose points for that shit.

Only loosely related, but are family trees broken? I love them but so often they don't show names and I can't tell what number I was. Or they just seem to be wrong. Like, I was in the Savannah family today, and look at this, it can't be right. https://wondible.com/ohol-family-trees/ … id=3071804 and it doesn't tell me anything :-(

It only shows 8 generations, this family is still alive. I just played as Rose Savannah and when I look at the family tree it says my mother is still alive but I died at 60 so my mother being alive would be impossible.

Do you have to wait till the family dies out? I've been checking yesterday and I couldn't find myself on any of the family trees, however I looked again today (all of the family are dead now :-( ) and I see myself no problem.

maybe your mom looks older then she is...
once the police ask me if this is my mother on the picture (she was driving too fast) they thought since she looks so young on the picture its my sister which never drives....
maybe with your mom its the other way round

There are a couple things going on.
My family trees are updated from daily (as in once every 24 hours) data dumps. The names seem to lag behind the birth/death information a bit, leading to numbers, but should be available the next day.
There is bug with the official lineage site where some lives are not recorded, creating breaks in the lineage. We suspect that the lineage server wasn't updated to handle the longer last words.
Main lineage site only records people on death, so there may also be temporary missing links with people still living.

Hi, wondible, thanks, that makes a lot of sense. So, a good chance the issues will be fixed if you look in on it later, got it.
You wouldn't happen to also know why some names in the family trees are so much larger than the rest? It's not massively important, it's just bugging me. Like in that Savannah family tree - https://wondible.com/ohol-family-trees/ … id=3071804 - Hope, Patria, Sierra and Hope (again) are in these large bubbles. It's not connected to how many children they've had or how long they lived... It's not connected to me somehow, I haven't played these characters, I just can't figure it out.

Those are all the same account, the one that got searched for. For Jason's links, that will always be the eve.
I put it in so that when I searched my lives, I could pick out all of mine in that tree. Though in truth, I use a local version that also marks people I know (or had trouble with)
