Yeah. Supply for anything that camp needs and suicide, tell kids to move to another towns.
Communism is when government assing things for masses instead of private companies selling stuff to people. We've got anarchy, anarcho-democracy.
I suggest plan ahead and make videos for 3 groups from oldest to newer videos, for noobs, more advanced and pro's.
Noobs: how to settle camp as Eve, how to find well by dry springs; teach about temperature, yum chain, floor warm bonus, gene score; how to build walls/roads (autowalls), about hunger work; 'don't do this' as someone suggested; how to build basic village (bakery/smith/fire/basic farm) and in what shape (small berry farm); how to be faster; how to spot a griefer (many fires etc.); how to defend yourself (run when you see gasp).
Then how to improve well. Advanced stuff in forge. Loom. How to get kerosene. Different foods, different crops. How to heal.
Then diesel, car, radio, airplanes.
After this you can start adding videos about updates.
I've seen this many times. My village needed rubber (etc.) so I'm taking horse, go search for it. In next few hours this village become abandoned even if I saved them. So what's the point on spending live as a saviour, when they will just move on or die out? I lost motivation.
I don't know why you think that way. I've seen a lot of people that received what they asked for, like be higher in hierarchy, even if they spent 2/3 of their lives on persuading people to follow.
You asked me in another topic about my method for become leader, so these things helps:
1. people follow bold people who ask directly what they want
2. you need to have fancy clothes on. fully dressed. nobody wants to follow poor people ![]()
3. crown is also great magnet. sometimes people just start to ask 'are you queen/king? (yes) cool' and they will follow you
4. being in group (in lowest rank) is also some way to receive followers. it's just because of badge. I do it too, I'm following people just because they have some badge, I wanna be part of their group (I also switch to follow better ranks to see the orders).
So being without clothes, without family, don't asking for followers, just do stuff won't give you any followers. It's like in real life, be rich, famous, good looking and people will join you. It's not about working in the first place.. but if you do some work once you get the followers people will mainly appreciate it (if place is not too crowded and they can judge others).
miss:
- regrets that some family died out
- fortresses
- overall craziness
don't:
- inevitable apocalypse
- famine
I've seen it once, it was.. bad. ![]()
For me it's a mix of
1. parenting - I'm young and I wanna saw how it is to be a mom to different persons, yeah it's just a game, but still. sometimes I'm not great mom
it can be sooo dull to explain stuff to people… but also sometimes parenting gives much satisfaction
2. observation - of others, how they adapt to things; of my own reactions. I've learnt that when someone depends on me I'm extra motivated to solve problems. also I wanna suicide when I'm having a bad mom. ![]()
3. building - I'm estethe, I like to organize stuff in towns, build them up
Also OHOL artwork is just great, it often made me laugh.
I like to be reminded of my own mortality
Yeah, something like that. Be reconciled with my own death, with cycle of life.
I was too curious. ![]()
@AmberA my savior!!
Thank you!
It's too hard compared to other specializations. Please make it easier and more kerosene also, pretty please. ![]()
I've got a question
Did Jason, beside the rift, EVER canceled one of his updates? If not, don't expect him to delete his work just because some people don't like it and have some other ideas.
I would just die. I'm suiciding because of more trivial things.
Is it parenting, building, planning, mindless working, interactions, griefing, none of above? Why do you keep playing this game?
Merry Christmas to everyone!
2. Indoor smithies just aren't practical. People don't like the cramped work environment and it limits the places where it can be
Totally agree.
put floors so they can't overplant
Right! Didn't think about this one.
you can cook some mutton fast when you don't need more pies
Not bad idea too.
Town I mentioned before. Looking nice, a LITTLE bit too cramped, but just a little. Milkweed farm (sort of hidden) in the upper left corner. Smith is 'separated' from berries, behind corn. Pein mentioned to never put road in a town, but what about speed up bringing the fire to the smith?
Empty area between bakery and sheeps, maybe for wheat, maybe for a cow.
I think towns doesn't need more than a square, more buildings / places are rarely used, they stand empty or unfinished.
I've just got an idea. We use pots for foods, but why not use them to store things? One pot is better than couple of bowls lying in the village.
We need a clay pot and a paper. If we put paper on pot and store something in it, a picture of stored thing will appear (and how much of it, maybe strokes, like with kerosene).
Maybe a duck should spawn back to ponds? (similar to rabbit holes)
Yes, I agree about keys.
- A way to figure out who owns a property gate
I think name is enough? If not what else can be add? Whole list of owners?
I need some pictures, sketches or just tips. That kind of town need to be good looking and very practical.
This one bell town looks shitty and it's not practical.
For first, it lies on ugly biomes.
Too large gooseberry farm. Smith waaay too far from fireplace. Too many way stones takes precious space.
There is town to the west and south from this bell town (not connected with road), with planted trees, greenish place, pine floors. Way better in my opinion. Although fire is in the kitchen (it even have smaller room down to kitchen, but people don't use it as nursery
).
Perfect desing contains:
1. best location for fireplace (near to kitchen / smith)
2. enough space
3. lots of green, trees, floors, decorations
4. fast roads to vital points
5. boxes for tools in good places
6. nice cemetery ![]()
Any examples? How best arranged town looks like?
---
Quick tip:
Nursery on the side of kitchen with a shelf on a wall.
Foods for moms from a cook! (avoiding people in kitchen) Yes, I know people don't use that room as nursery, but it's good example.
I did encounter working radios several times and I play like for 4 months. Problem with radio is that it can be too quickly dismantled. ![]()
This game needs more progression in technology in next year.
And I would say also culture. Like when you are black you can make different looking clothes, build things that looks different. Like in Age of Empires - nations had architecture from different styles (roman, greeks, arabic and asian as I remember).
1. wells need to be used for longer period of time before drying up
2. we need removable rabbit holes
3. properties decayed too fast
4. way stones shouldn't blocked us
5. milkweeds consume too much water and gives too little product
I can't think of anything else, maybe later I figure it out. Please add more complains if you like. ![]()
Well, I feel bored and I will give up this game in new year, maybe come back later. I don't have problem with tool slots, I was 2nd or 3rd on leaderboard, have like 19 slot tools.
I don't mind tool update. I even don't mind race update. But the wells dry out too fast in my opinion. There is always (or it's coming) water crisis in town/village, I don't like this feeling.
Funny, when I was playing it was the opposite, the blacks were killing browns.
First, I was in that bell town. A guy on horse said someone from Captain family (brown) took our kerosene to their town (south-west from bell). So I ride with him there, we killed one guy and took kerosene back (they didn't even have diesel well, so why they steal it...).
WHICH was dumb, because due to the language barriers they didn't even know why we killed him.
In second life there was massacre in that south-west town from bell town. There were blacks and browns, black girl lured bear to town and browns were massacred. Then two black gals moved to bell town and finished browns there too. One of them said if they're dumb enough not to have any defence, they deserve to be killed.
I was a happy child of good mother, she owned a nice property.

I worked mainly in town, returned there just to show my kids what we own.
My sister made a nice garden in the backyard.
After some time our neighbours move in, just on the other side of road, black family.

I lived a good life, died alone next to family graves.
--- second life ---
I lived again in the same town.
I switched my backpack with sister, for the knife she has in it. I was suprised she didn't took it back right away. Instead she gave me all of her clothes.
What a lovely life. At least to that point.
Some old, black guy came and apparently he was trying to kidnapp me, trying to grab me and take away. I scream for help, but mom was focused on something else and my sister was too young to make a full sentence.
I was curious what he wanted - after all I could always run away, right?
He carried me to the property of black family, that were my previous neighbours. He said they are dying, so he made me gate owner. I was happy and thanked him, seconds later he just died.
But then it turned out he did something wrong and I didn't owned the gate. Everybody left from property, someone closed it. Bilbo, the blonde teenager, owned it. I asked him to set me free, he agrees. But he was playing dumb and entrapped me there.

While I was screaming for any help, my family gathered outside and they were watching what's going on. My mom, as elder, was trying to remove the property with recept, but she writes something on paper, and it must be blank...
Some other elder came and try to do it right. But.. we needed not shaky and not renewed property. She died before it can be made.
My sisters were trying to help me. One of them was chasing Bilbo. He still plays dumb, so she decide to kill him. He just passed my prison on the road! She stabb him and I joined, so we have advantage over him. We did it. We killed him!
Seconds later the property fell itself.
I WAS FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
I was running with a smile on my face! I looked around town, it was nearly empty and the well has torn seal. I didn't think too much, I grabbed horse and ride to south town. It was the one with two bears entrapped in town.
I asked some brown gal to get palm oil. She said she's new. When I put down horse to munch some food, she took my horse and said that she's instead taking the horse.
Oof. When she take my horse, I felt like she was taking away my freedom. Too bad for her..
My sister came. I stabbed the brown bitch for kidnapping my horsie and sis joined me. AFTER that the brown gal said that it was joke (yes, she gave the horse back). I felt someway guilty, but she didn't cursed me, just died.
Then some other guy came and try to stabb me in return. We try to explain to him the situation, but he continued to pursuit me. I was on my horse, the guy behaved like a noob, so I escaped to jungle and take his knife when it felt from his hand. He was unarmed and we split our ways.
I returned to my home town. The properties were nearly empty, so as town. Yes... families are dying out too quickly. I tried to marry queen that was living there, but she didn't want me. My sisters also.
I didn't think too much. I renewed the property that was my prison for half of my life. And then - I owned it.

I died alone there, but happy.
Nice story.
