Its an easy fix just have a report system that is based off of the family tree. If you die by murder you should be able to report that player, if that player gets a certain amount of reports it should be a temporary ban or make it so they can only be born to people around their same karma level. If none are available then make them spawn as an eve. This can also be used to reward good and hard working players, by allowing people that die of old age to thumbs up someone on the family tree to increase that persons karma. Also if Jason is able to blacklist first and last names I dont know why he hasen't decided to black list racial slurs and offensive terms.

#27 Re: Main Forum » My thoughts on killing » 2018-05-27 20:27:10

This has actually given me an idea. Now every time I spawn as a female I will leave town and start a new town either going straight south or north, basically just live as an eve. Seems like forcing my kids to start with nothing will prevent them from crafting a knife to murder because they wont have time to forge because food will he an issue. I also like playing as a founder then as a assgined villager with a job. I also like to test how fast I can build a starter town while not letting any kid die. I will only stay at my birth village if I'm a male.

#28 Re: Main Forum » The story of sign guy » 2018-05-22 05:04:08

Funny enough I was Coco's and the sign boy aka Simon's older brother. Coco escaped from Jason and Boris your sons and killed the village. From your image they ran into a bear while chasing him. I was too old to stop him and the last female Hannalee wouldnt listen to me and didnt use her knife to kill him.

I didnt have much interaction with Simon except seeing Leo blame him for seeds and Leo threatening to kill Simon many times.

Thanks for the info Mufflon, I'm going to check it out. Simpily having an extra hour sounds really appealing.

People only complain when something is changed drastically. Like the apocalypse and now decay. The fourms take a 180 when something new is added and not just a mechanic. We will see new idea topics pop up mpst likely once the sign update drops.

But jokes aside lets give Jason some time to fix things.

Most are ok with the concept of decay. We just didnt expect decay to be implemented with no way to repair anything.

Some ideas for repair. A whetstone for tools, make it have a limited number of uses unless used with a grinding wheel. Plaster for walls, kilm and oven. And glue for baskets and other things.

It is hard enough trying to keep a farm and village going to have stuff decay or the need to stop pulling carrots to repair everything. Just makes the game way too tedious and boring to have to go through the exact same thing every single life. At lest when there was a village you could go venture off and come back. Nothing to come back too ever if stuff destroys itself. That's why the game is dead right now. The city's that were there prior to the patch just look like starter farms now. How exactly are you supposed to build and maintain walls when you have to craft 1000000000000 baskets and carts for 1 lifetime?

The only reason I bought this game was the idea of building up a tribe maybe to be born into it again but now if your born into it nothing is left and you have to start all over. It is boring. IMO

That is the point of being able to repair, so you don't have to make a million baskets. The decay rate should be toned down but not taken out, nothing last forever and it should require a village to keep a village running not just one and done. Its not tedious if it takes about 3 hours for something to decay until you have to repair it. Plaster is not difficult to make and whetstones can just be a sharpened rock. I am also for the idea of the decay timer being reset when ever the item is picked up.

Well we were able to establish the F if hungry rule in the past. Shouldnt be that hard for a parent to teach their kid the most important rules, like top row is seeds and dont empty ponds. I find that the babysitter job is what is ruining the pass down of rules. Its almost impossible and risky for a babysitter to take a group of kids around to learn the layout. This is why most kids know nothing and cause more harm then good.

#35 Re: Main Forum » What do you name your kids? » 2018-04-14 04:34:03

I usally name my kids either ancient greek and or Roman names. Except my first two born sons which I always name Cain and Abel.

#36 Re: Main Forum » Suicide Babies » 2018-04-10 03:43:04

The dev could make it so babies cant break away from a mothers carry until they are a certain age. Think of it as a repawn penalty. It would also be logical for a baby to not be strong enough to break away from an adult that is carrying it.

#37 Re: News » Update: The Apocalypse » 2018-04-07 05:09:41

Finding an abandoned village should be incredibly rare and considered a treasure. I also find that there are two types of people. One type that is ok doing menial task for the sake of furthering the family line. The other is the type that dosent want to contribute to the bigger picture but instead wants to start their own. Id suggest adding an option to spawn as an eve or a baby. Also to stop people from suiciding as a baby to get to a better life make the baby unable to break from the holder until they are a certain age.

#38 Re: Main Forum » So the Apocalypse is here » 2018-04-06 06:10:49

I guess ill take a break from this game till the Apocalypse is either way futher up the tech tree or just removed. Kinda annoying to have the servers restarted so frequently. Makes the fun core feature of the game pointless.

#39 Re: News » Update: Name that baby » 2018-03-30 11:49:38

This is awesome!! I was always naming my kids before this update just so it felt more like a family instead of a group of strangers.

#40 Re: Main Forum » Some ideas? » 2018-03-22 10:43:17

I like the idea of naming, like "Daughter" Kate or "First Cousin" Bob. This will allow people to be directed to certain individuals that can either teach a trade or for help.

#41 Re: Main Forum » Name system-hide,tell,show. » 2018-03-22 10:29:08

Funny I was just think of how awesome it would be to allow the moms to name the kids. This will also allow for a more personal story with the tribe.
