The main Discord isn't actually all bad. Most of the people there make fun of the griefers, but even there when people report griefers or killers it goes unheard. It'd be unlikely people would be paying attention while playing.

Yeah I feel the same way. I loved this game so much before it became nothing but another raiding game. It was so wholesome and cute. I'd raise my kids and help push my family further into the tech tree and try to make them the best town possible. It was just cute.

Now I get born to a town cramped in fences, everyone is paranoid and talking about a raids and war. You get stabbed for just having a different last name. You make things for the benefit of your family and it gets hidden behind trees. You have to always be watching people to make sure they're not trying to take things. You can't trust your own family when they say they need help outside of town, you'll just be stabbed and won't be able to tell anyone. It really breaks my heart to see the state this game is in.

What's worse is that new players coming in are thinking this is normal. They think raiding and killing is what the game is about and the tech tree and survival of your family doesn't matter. It's so frustrating because in the end they're all going to win. Good players like you and me are leaving everyday and the griefers and the raiders stay. Watching a game I loved so much and put hundreds of hours into die slowly like this is breaking my heart.

And you're so right about the Discord. It's full of griefer bragging people who come to "flex" their awesome skills of shift clicking unarmed people. It's pathetic and I wish the mods could do something about it.

I still have a small sliver of hope it's going to get better. I really hope Jason will see what's going on and can deal with it. A handful of people are ruining this game for everyone else and he's going to wish he'd done something someday.

Griefing has only gone down because there's not much of a point to it. The map resets pretty often so any new griefing they do won't be able to add up.

Making a fence for your town is a NIGHTMARE. You ever wonder why so many fences are so janky and ugly it's because some poor grandson of Eve just wanted to protect his Mom without devouring every piece of food inside the rift to do it.

They're absolutely WORTHLESS. They actually do nothing. At least pine trees have SOME purpose.

Just make it so all the good trees and hungry work and the useless shit trees aren't and it's FINE. I'm just tired of starving out my village to CUT 3 TREES DOWN

It's a super cool idea. It would 100% cause the Tarr monument to be protected and fought over, which is maybe what he wants? Something for us to want enough to actually war over.

The biggest thing would be who gets to eat it? I think the best situation for it would be the last female turning 40. Even if gave them an extra year for a chance for a girl that'd be huge.

For what to sacrifice I'd say an Endstone. A life for a longer life. They're very finite and rare within the rift aswell so using one would be a sacrifice

Yeah between building an engine or oil I always pick an engine. The bucket charcoal game is just annoying. Making pipes can be it's own nightmare too. It takes so fucking long and without help you only get like 5 or 6. Plus oil is always in the worst places like the snow or desert and It's such a pain to not starve.

That's where our playstyles differ. I play the game to help my family and see them do well. I like solving problems. I'm just kind of tired of it ALWAYS being engines and oil. Everyone will learn everything else but refuse to learn engines and oil.

A better tutorial. A full and complete tutorial for the game that includes everything from farming to oil and engines.

The amount of people who have no idea what they are doing is kind of shocking. It's very rare I get help with an engine or oil. People just survive until a smart player comes along and helps them.

I'm tired of it being me. It's always me making the engines and oil. They ask me to teach them but it's just Impossible. You can't teach an engine in one life time. I had to go on a low population server and teach myself where I made a TON of mistakes and it took me hours and hours to memorize.

Not even just engines though. Teaching baking and farming is something I just am tired of doing. They're so important and the tutorial doesn't do shit to teach them.
