I was Chad Bison and I was born to Aria Bison who was a very loving and caring mother. She taught her younger sisters along with her kids and praised their nobility. So when she passed the immediate family become very sad and disheartened. We did not like bowing down to our second and fourth cousins who held the highest title in the village. We wanted to praise and be loyal to OUR bloodline and not theirs. So with my Aunt Trinity and my sister Hanna we started a new leadership under the banner the True Bisons. We recruited the progeny of my mother and quickly rose from a small minority to a rival faction. None of the heretic none bloodline were allowed to join.  We established Hanna Bison of the leader of our group and our bloodline grew. Opaline the leader of the heretics was not happy about this. She kept proclaiming herself as the True leader and the true follower to bison but we knew better.

We told her we no longer obeyed her and we were a separate group. She was in disbelief but she said I will let your group do what it pleases but you all obey me we refused and called her a heretic. Tensions were rising and violence grew closer but the true bison followers and opaline the heretic did not want war so we made an agreement that war will not occur within our groups. There was peace within the village and our faction grew. By the time opaline was on her death bed the fake bisons and our distant cousins were in the minority and the true bisons has taken over the village. She begged that we reunite the tribes but I refused only the bloodline of aria bison shall persist.  She died ordering the bisons to reunite but it didn’t happen. The remaining progeny of Aria Bison that followed Opaline converged to True Bisons. As for Opalines blood line now... it still remains under her daughter felicity.

The true Bisons were of Aria Bison and her sisters.

He’s adding restrictions so we can’t progress through the tech tree. Amazing gameplay we have. It’s not like you can add new and interesting mechanics and content to the game, no no we need more restrictions.

So we nerfed biomes, water, oil, mixed villages, WHAT WAS THE POINT IN NERFING IRON?
You have already nerfed EVERYTHING else why iron this homeland iron shit makes no sense at all, on top of that hungry work for ONE PIECE of Iron!?!! Straight bs fix iron immediately you literally can’t make it worse than it already is.

#104 Re: Main Forum » Jason, what's OUR motivation » 2020-04-28 21:12:10

This game is broken, Jason not only nerfs unnecessary things like iron but he devoids Ohol of actual content. Do what Minecraft did and sell this game to a corporation so they can actually add on to this game.

Sounds about right 5 months of wasted on rift that was straight out removed then add (race) restrictions which inheritantly kill the fun of the game:). He doesn’t release a decent update in forever, and then manages to convince both himself and his audience that he has been extremely productive.

Jason thinks players should behave like he would, approach problems like he would.

Problem is... we are players, not makers - we are lazy, 'giving up' type.

And we need accomplishments more than problems.

I once thought many troubles and loses will be more interesting during the game (any game).

Then I played Mass Effect and I lose squad member in ME2 (who played it knows in which part). I felt shitty, but I didn't want to do the sequence again.

But I felt so shitty to the point I was even... broken, I didn't want to solve any other problems like I did. I became a little psycho that do everything just for personal gain or - just to fuck things even more, because if I suffered I wanted others to suffer (by others I mean NPC's in game!). It ended in sad end and bad decisions through the game (betrayals etc). I feel depressed in the end.

After that I realized we need accomplishments badly! It's childish, but yes, I will give up if something goes wrong or I would make even more mess.

I think many people would behave more like me, than like Jason.

I agree with this, he never listens to his ACTUAL player base. He caters to the small people who don’t play his game rather than the try hards and players do, it’s saddening.

#107 Re: Main Forum » Jason's misunderstanding » 2020-02-27 15:54:22

Stick to crafting and adding new things and old players will stay while the ones will be motivated to learn.

#108 Re: Main Forum » The Game Designer Does Not Respect Families Nor Players » 2020-02-27 15:42:16

Hundred percent agree. He doesn’t add any content but even more restrictions. Horrible Dev that doesn’t listen to the community at all except people in his secret forums that also don’t play the game ???

Fr tho I hope he expands on the tech tree and not this imo we need something desperately.

OHOL is a very unique game.

You get born to a random person every game and you can only live 60 min max in each life. In other games like minecraft, rust, WOW... you can keep returning to the same character, there is no old age.
When you do something in the other games, you do it for yourself, for your character, because you want to be it better in the future.
BUT in OHOL most people when they do something, do it for the greater good, not for their character, their character lifespan is very limited.
Most people work together to build a great civilization.

This is a nice game mechanic, but it makes it so that trade and property is pointless. You play as all characters and in all villages, no point in trading with yourself.
This game fundamentally doesnt support trade and that is OK. We dont need trade, trade is not what makes this game great.
But jason still tries to force trade and property, with fences, rift, tool slots, race restrictions...
This goes against the core design of the game and does a lot of harm.

Jason please realize what this game is about and focus on its strengths.
Follow the flow of the river, dont try to redirect it forcefully.

I agree in 100%. We don't need trade, private property, war, or pathetic leaders in this game. It won't work well.
Jason lost so much time trying to make these nonsensical things.

Agree he should focus on tech tree.

Love this idea, if diseases gets implemented I would love to be the doctor role so I can heal people assuming that cures are implemented as well as diseases.

Yea this dude is definitely lieing also this curse change is great, greifing has gone down significantly and it’s much more enjoyable to play. having a curse name is also a really great change.

There browns in donkey town that meant no one could get rubber so no one passed deep well tech and it’s cancer, as of right now though, a group of browns are traveling 20k BACK to reg area and are trying to repop

If I may say a word:
The reason for cursing and then the subsequent donkey town stay is not to "punish" the to the community incompatible players. It is in order to let them play alone if they cannot get along with the "normal" player base. If now the cursers migrate to the cursed ones, it undermines the whole system. Griefing the donkeys then stays as what it would be if it happened the other way around - just making some people upset, i.e. it is griefing.
To be honest, the absolute only, right choice in order to heal the server would be to kill off all the families which survived the apocalypse such that they can meet up with the ones which arose during the new arc.

Btw, donkey town looked epic! Good job of the donkeys who built that up wink

Key word alone, donkeys weren’t supposed to meet up and build a town, they serve their time playing alone since the player base doesn’t like them.

Aww legs is mad and beings a hypocrite. What’s new, accusing people of claiming superiority over others then calling the player base NORMIES and NOOBS and how your going to EXTERMINATE them from your town? YES WE ARE THE NAZIS ROFL. Legs said “exclusive community” and how it’s going to be the best place in the server after the normies are purged.. LMAO PARALLELS TO THE ARYAN PEOPLE?

That's more of a cultural/knowledge hurdle than one that can never be overcome.

If players were always inherently lazy, you wouldn't even see people make tons of belltowers, or wineries.

Player knowledge only advances when people demonstrate "good" ideas and see them constantly in life after life after life. People didn't 'get' society right away; it took a lot of collaboration between various tribes of people wanting to make things and to keep expanding on things and needing to constantly re-organize how they operated between one-another.

No, bell towers and wineries are made by veterans, actual good players who are very few and in between the game. Trade needs to be done by normies who really can’t do shit and are lazy. Vets have better things to do then practice useless trade and since there’s not many of them trade won’t be maintained therefore making it useless.

#121 Re: Main Forum » Idea for alternative biome restrictions » 2020-02-20 15:35:44

Biome restrictions is BS in the first place Jason should really learn how to play his game. If he actually played the game he would be the type to berry munch or starve to death in a diesel town. All he does is VOG it’s funny.

#122 Re: Main Forum » Jason's misunderstanding » 2020-02-20 15:34:05

Maybe if he removed these god awful restrictions we could actually progress civilization. Can’t do anything without a bell it’s cancer.

#123 Re: Main Forum » a different way to stop all the killing » 2020-02-19 16:11:47

I really like this update Jason put out with the cursing it really helps and griefing has significantly gone down.

#124 Re: Main Forum » Living the dream. » 2020-02-19 16:09:53

I had a very similar story with a ginger family prior to last weeks reset. We ran our great grandma’s fishing place for generations and it was passed on through generations. It was the cutest lil house ever built. Our population even reached up to fifteen but it eventually died down to about one or two people before jumping up again. The house eventually died out.

Why do we still have race restrictions in the game, literally no one likes them and the whole purpose which was “trade” never has and never will happen. Even in the village it’s not trade, it’s literally a melting pot to survive no trade just people donating resources to keep the village alive. Please change this to make other races able to go in ALL biomes just it’s way harder for them. Maybe some gear they can acquire from other races that will make it viable for them to enter a hostile environment.
