Very nice but people don't build cars and planes Jason.

Do you think that people will use this over regular screenshots?

#152 Re: Main Forum » Go where you are needed most. The unglamorous work. » 2019-04-27 12:55:56

Work on making places more efficient, Build lots more boxes, Carts and Baskets. Upgrade to rubber carts if you can.

#153 Re: Main Forum » Another biome specialization idea » 2019-04-27 01:10:44

What if everybody could still do everything but biome natives can do some things efficiently. If you do have biome specific stuff it shouldn't hinder anyone but make life easier if you have them

Jungle dwellers can take 2 rubbers from 1, They can also grow any of the tree's in the jungle.

Savanna dwellers can restore rabbit holes faster. Feed single rabbit a carrot and they turn back to family faster. They also have to wait less when snaring rabbit.

Snow dwellers have boosted fishing chances and reduced chance of net/rod breaking.

Swamp dwellers can dig empty clay pits to access deeper clay. They could also get reeds to regrow.

Mountain dwellers can get more iron from veins. Maybe they can even go into caves which are far denser in resources then the surface.

Desert dwellers can dig for water/oil sources in the desert. They also have better chances of striking oil when drilling.

And I think people should only get biome bonuses if they have lived  within a biome or near for a few generations.

Say Eve automatically has bonus for the biome she spanws in. As long as she her kids are born within a certain range of said biome then they will have benefits too.

As long as people are being born near the right biome then benefits are passed down. Now say a girl runs away and builds somewhere else, Her kids won't get any bonus but her grandkids will if they are also born in the new place.

PS: Make towns closer to each other.

#154 Re: Main Forum » Jason might as well go quiet again » 2019-04-24 23:46:20

I don't I'd be much different in his shoes, Same people always giving him shit all the time. And people do like to bash things before trying them.

And people do tend to exploit stuff without telling him for months. Desert edge and cows for example. If we don't respect him, Why should he listen to us.

And the curse new system dosn't change regular game play much. The majority of curses hit the griefer while he is alive,  Most curse what they see.

It is rare for families to live together and people are too accepting of outsiders. You just walk in from a distant town and nobody questions you, You're immediately welcome to join their society.

But now that they cannot be cursed things may change. You now have cause to deny outsiders, You don't wanna have uncursables in your town. It creates more tensions between families.

Jason in trailer: I may end up as your baby.

Jason in game: Runs away.

Because charcoal is infinite and kerosene and beyond isn't worth making sadly.

Make iron more abundant and water more scarce. Their should be a rush to get to the diesel pump to relieve us from the droughts.

#157 Re: Main Forum » Limit the number of Eves » 2019-04-23 01:01:44

I don't know why people always say /die babies are trying to be eve. As an Eve I still get lots of suicides, Even in a good spot.

I agree, I've never done pedo/Rapist shit.

back in the day i seen multiple rooms, cities with walls, if you died you just walked back to it

i was quite new, but knowing the basic game, how to hunt rabbits, how to tend to sheep
i think i just started smiting

i seen once a city with multiple rooms, huge ones, connected, walled city
one of the rooms had it's own fire, and two people in it, i went in to get a shaft fired up and they were angry
a baby was standing in the fire, and they had their own bakery inside
kind of burned into my mind and that time i couldn't even imagine how all those rooms got made
ofc you could get back and do it in multiple lives

What's your origin story pein?

Imagine a place where the individual person each had a small parcel of land to do as they please with. But few communal areas, Each unit makes what they need within there own land.

Each person just makes or trades what they need. It'd be easier to trade with others rather then spending resources trying to build what others have already.

Communist may seem cheaper but people often leech more then what they contribute.

But idk, I'm yet to see private property in game. Spoonwood probably wishes he could cut things.

#162 Re: Main Forum » I think property fences will be fine » 2019-04-19 01:14:28

Both systems have downsides, So many people want society to be perfect but that's impossible.

I'd personally rather privatize most farms so they can be ran efficiently. It may be a bit harder to aquire some things but less Chance of it being fucked up.

Best case scenario we'll have some actual business and trading emerge.

Or twins would abuse it by approving eachothers crap.

Didn't even think of the perm fire!

That'd be a true Devine blessing.

You are basically god and can help or hurt any town you want.

Would you be benevolent and spawn rare items for everybody. Or would you be evil or just spectate without interfering?

I'd probably delete everything in big cities or spawn bears everywhere. But then help Eves by spawning pies  and tools they need, Even building materials to for pens and other buildings. Also lots of cars and oil for all.

#168 Re: Main Forum » If you could make only ONE change to the game what would it be? » 2019-04-16 21:38:58

I'd make babies not be able to move or at least VERY slow crawl.
This has the downside of making babies born outside a huge pain. BUT enforces male usefulness even more, Just don't go out till fertile and you'll be okay.
It also means babies can't run off to suicide or be annoying in general.

Altarnatively I'd like pregnancy, A very brief time for mums to prepare and babies to analyse the town. Mother's may abort at this stage but they don't know the gender. Babies could suicide without bones or running away.

This is not griefing people, learn boundaries.

Or learn to share and not kill over 2 straw.

#171 Re: Main Forum » If you could start one in-game folk tradition what would it be? » 2019-04-16 10:55:37

No odd shoes or making duels a thing.

All arguments would be settled by dueling. If you have an issue with what people are doing then you must best them or you cannot complain.

Healing the loser would be fine as long as they honor the rules, The other person gets their way because they won.

It'd be considered dishonorable to kill outside of duels or to interfere with a duel.

You could have a king who writes laws but can be challenged anytime for his/her crown. People have to listen to the king but tyrants would probably get frequent challenges. If you're good then people would be less likely to fight you.

#172 Re: Main Forum » Satisfaction of defending property » 2019-04-16 09:24:10

Roleplaying ownership= Griefing.

That's called hiding shit away so others can't use.

Besides you probably stole it yourself, People rarely make baskets. If you did actually make them then It'd be a different.

#173 Re: Main Forum » Da Truf. » 2019-04-14 05:20:48

I'm okay with revenge griefing but it means you can no longer berate others.

Most people hate it when griefers brag on forums or discord about towns they have killed.

#174 Re: Main Forum » The problem with cars and planes » 2019-04-14 03:18:36

I agree, Does seem like Jason is leaning towards more private ownership however.

BUT cars are still way too difficult given that they are just faster horses that eat kerosene. The individual isn't gonna spend their entire life building one car.

In the future I'm hoping for some better machines, Rollers, Hammars, Bores, Lathes etc. Maybe even a machines that just assemble diesel engines, Only needing us to gather resources. It's like how the ball of thread makes clothes making more efficient.

#175 Re: Main Forum » futurebird goes to the darkside » 2019-04-14 02:59:12

Clickbait, You didn't fully embrace the darkside. I was hoping that you were gonna kill that women, She never got she deserved.
