#26 Re: Main Forum » cut lasso with knife for 2 rope » 2018-11-28 22:29:19

there shouldnt be a reason for there to be loss because in real life you can easily pick apart rope and get string the same amount there was before, and besides what benefit is there to losing rope that way?

I AGREE WITH THIS BTW BUT ALSO USED WITH FLINTCHIP

I just concieved of this for fun:

There are four types of settlements: Isolated Village, False Civilization, Diverse Village, True Civilization

Isolated Village - a SINGLE village with a SINGLE lineage. This is most found in early-game or in the game currently (November 2018).

False Civilization - MULTIPLE CONNECTED villages with a SINGLE lineage. This is found when females make camps outside of town or an eve repopulates an abandoned area with surrounding municipalities.

Diverse Village - a SINGLE village with MULTIPLE (≥2) lineages. This can be found if twinning/tripping/quadding eves manage to stay alive, establish a town, and have each of their lineages not die out or kill eachother. It can also be found if a bell tower is built and eves follow it but don't build outside of town.

True Civilization - MULTIPLE CONNECTED villages with MULTIPLE (≥2) lineages. This is very very rare, especially now (November 2018). An example of this was Casinotown and surrounding municipalities when there was a constant traffic of eve migration towards the town. It's basically a village connected to other villages with multiple lineages living amongst them.

I personally enjoy True Civilizations because you get to be reborn in it more often, however there is a risk for griefers as if they aren't dealt with with curses, they can come back and kill everyone again like with Napoleon. Also, True Civilizations are magnets for lag due to people gathering around a "Hub" and leaving their trash everywhere.

I hate False Civilizations because most of the time, it's because of some eve who decided "lmao i wanna be the only line here and risk losing the settlement due to low population"

you could just clean up the beans by putting them into a bowl for more nourishing food

#30 Re: Main Forum » Rant » 2018-11-27 03:30:52

just like in reality, cooking is all about the memorization
unlike reality, cooking takes no effort

pick a squash, put on plate, chop with axe or hatchet, put in pot
pick dry beans, crush with stone, put on plate and back, put water and take out, put in pot
dry a piece of corn, put it in bowl, chop with knife or flint chip, put in pot
put water in pot, put on hot coals

get threshed wheat, put in bowl, crush with stone, put water
put dough on plates, repeat process for amount needed
put either mashed carrot, bowl of gooseberries, mutton, minced rabbit (rabbit in bowl with sharp rock), + other combos
cook in hot oven

simple

#31 Re: Main Forum » Lets talk about mosquitos far outside their biome » 2018-11-25 00:26:11

biomes overlap eachother in the server, which is why when biomes meet their trees dont stay in their specific grounds. what you saw was a jungle overlap. it mightve just been a couple jungle tiles that had a texture overlapped over it

#32 Re: Main Forum » Murderers » 2018-11-22 16:47:37

you know you can just sneak onto the website and check who the murderer is via family tree

#33 Re: Main Forum » Ancient cars » 2018-11-22 07:10:09

car insides arent made of wood

#35 Re: Main Forum » The bigger biomes idea » 2018-11-18 18:36:05

I agree with the idea that there should be somewhat equal amounts of resources in each biome, with its' own ups and downs. I also think specific crops can only grow in specific conditions, with some basic crops such as Wheat and gooseberries being universally plantable. Here is an example:

Deserts
-Water obtainable via certain cactus species or oasis
-You can plant universal plants and Melons, Root Plants, and Tomatoes
-Soil is initially obtained via sandy fertile soil deposits but compost can be created using wheat
Pros - no need for fire for warming
Cons - snakes

I don't really know what else to elaborate upon

but if someone just decides to destroy an entire city for no reason other than "its just how i like to play" theres no fun in that.

i agree.
i only grief when the settlement is stable, because there should never be stable settlements ever. also, i dont straight up kill everyone because it's not really fun to see the fruits of your labor if nobody is gonna carry on

#38 Re: Main Forum » New Oppurtunity, Talk to a Known Griefer! » 2018-11-11 03:04:03

hello fellow griefer. i do enjoy griefing time to time but people do not care because they have the tools

To the "good" people:
Honestly, the thing that makes post-steel eras in this game fun is drama generated from griefing. Yeah, it sucks when you get killed and the "Treat others the way you want to be treated" mentality is nice, but don't get so worked up about griefing. Literally everything in this game is temporary, and I see people whining about griefers. The game attempts to reflect reality, and reality has bad people and if you can't accept that then don't play. I'm not saying I condone griefing, but I'm not saying I don't. Crime should be manageable, it's just that people in-game aren't organized enough and that's not their fault. I just need you to calm down and think of griefing as a minor inconvenience. Yes, it causes problems, but what do those problems do in the long run? Yeah, it "ruins" the game, but does it really? You can just get reborn and it's not like you were working on anything super important, but if you were, then what a shame. Just. Move. On.

as they say "there can't be love without hate"

#40 Re: Main Forum » Wild cabbage's children » 2018-11-10 13:56:46

if the cabbage one was to be added, we need to be able to hone those chances, like irl because we have separate plants for broccoli, kale, cauliflower, spinach, etc.

idk how to do that tho

#42 Re: Main Forum » The Automation Problem » 2018-11-06 13:08:53

well, complex inputs arent possible in this game from what i know, so the machines will be advanced, but someone still has to pilot it, just not as many people as before the advanced machines

#46 Re: Main Forum » Spectator Mode » 2018-10-07 01:19:04

damn put this in the reddit suggestions
we need this
besides, there is nothing negative about this other than griefers planning their attacks, but honestly i could talk about ways to prevent griefers such as myself from wreaking havoc

twins have a reputation for griefing

#49 Re: Main Forum » Money » 2018-09-01 12:26:35

there really is no need for money because food is so abundant
although if people start creating large populations with a police force, it could be possible to have money

#50 Re: Main Forum » WTF did I just witness? » 2018-08-29 11:03:34

they all died of a plague

connection loss is essentially dying of a disease in the game
